Irini Charalampopoulou

Irini is a member of the fundraising team based in London.

Irini holds an MSc in International Banking and Financial Markets from Southampton University. Her career as an Investment Advisor and Relationship Manager in the Private Wealth Management industry spans over 15 years, spent in both US and Swiss top tier Investment Banks in London covering Greece, Cyprus & Russia.

Outside of her professional life Irini loves spending time with her husband and two young boys. She also enjoys cycling, running, yoga, and reading 20th century history and psychology books.

George Delyannis

Based in Lausanne, George is responsible for operational risk and compliance.

George is a graduate of the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg and is a qualified Chartered Accountant (South Africa). He has completed his post-graduate studies in Tax Law, Advanced Banking and Corporate and Business Governance at the University of Johannesburg, has practiced as a registered accountant and auditor and has worked for both listed and multi-national companies.

He has had regular involvement with public benefit organisations and was chairman of the Peloponnesian Society of South Africa, which – among other – for 50 years has provided bursaries for university students of Greek descent.

In his spare time, George enjoys watching soccer, listening to music and spending time with his family.

Korina Georganta-Zekkou

Korina is a member of our London based team and focuses on fundraising.

Korina holds an MSc in European Political Economy from London School of Economics and an MSc in European & International Relations from Athens University.

She spent 10 years working in Athens and then in London in business consulting specialising on organisational design and change management.

Korina has two delightful girls and loves going to the theatre and reading children’s books.

Mariam Kaan

Mariam is a member of the fundraising team at Hellenic Hope based in London.

Mariam holds an M.Sc. in Finance and Private Equity from the London School of Economics and a BSc. in mathematics from University College London. Her career in finance includes experience in Sales & Trading as well as Investor Relations and Fundraising.

Mariam’s interests include sports, music and long Greek summers on the beach.

Anastasia Karabatsos (Trustee)

Anastasia is our Treasurer and a member of our London team.

Anastasia has studied Finance and holds an MSc from Lancaster University Management School. Meticulous and detail-oriented by nature, she spent 15 years working in the City of London, mainly for energy and commodity trading companies, managing teams of analysts.

More recently, Anastasia has been focusing on raising her twins and offering her expertise to Hellenic Hope. She is also an active member of the Parent-Teachers Association at her children’s school.

Evi Komiopoulou

Evi is a member of the fundraising team at Hellenic Hope based in London.

Evi studied Business Administration at the University of Piraeus and holds an MBA from Georgetown University and a Corporate Finance degree from London Business School. A banking professional by trade, her career has taken her from New York, to Greece and now London.

Evi loves yoga and running and in her spare time she likes searching for her next vacation destination.

Alexandra Korda

Alexandra is a member of our London team and together with Panagiotis Vlachopoulos and Agatha Moukouli works on the Marketing & Communications programmes of Hellenic Hope.

Alexandra has studied political sciences at London School of Economics and the College of Europe in Belgium and holds a M.B.A. from London Business School. A consumer marketer by profession, she has worked in telecoms and technology companies across Europe.

In her spare time – when not working on Hellenic Hope and in the absence of good mountain trails in London – she runs a Greek language pre-school playgroup.

Giannos Livanos (Trustee)

A member of the Athens team, Giannos, together with Ino Vei, focuses on partnership development, identifying and assessing charities, selecting partners to work with and managing ongoing relationships.

A lawyer by profession, Giannos is a graduate of the Athens Law School, has served as a lecturer at IST Studies and has more recently served as the Secretary General for Youth at the Greek Ministry of Education.

Giannos was a founding member of the Peace Flag Initiative against the second war in Iraq. He was also a founding organiser in 2007 of what was at the time the largest environmental demonstration in Athens following the devastation of the national park of Parnitha due to a forest fire.

Andreas Massouras (Trustee)

Andreas is our resident technologist and is a member of our Lausanne team. Together with Panagiotis, he co-chairs the Board of Trustees.

Andreas has a M.Eng. in Software Engineering from Imperial College, London, and a PhD in Genetics from the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne. After a long career in the financial industry, he is currently pursuing a venture in clinical genetics.

He has a family with two young children and enjoys hiking and playing the saxophone.

Tina Mavraki (Trustee)

Tina is a member of the London team and together with Manos Papatheofanous co-chaired Hellenic Hope’s Board of Trustees during the crucial first years, where she coordinated the overall efforts of Hellenic Hope.

Tina has a B.A. and M.A. in Politics, Philosophy & Economics from the University of Oxford, and a M.Sc. in Finance from London Business School. She has a long career in trading, capital markets and commodities in London and the US.

Tina firmly believes in helping others. Besides Hellenic Hope, Tina loves a good laugh with friends, adventure and scuba diving.

Agatha Moukouli

Agatha is a member of our London team and focuses on Hellenic Hope’s marketing communications programmes.

Agatha studied Business Administration at the University of Aegean and has completed an MSc in Finance in Southampton University. She spent the last 12 years working in financial services in Athens, London and New York and is currently focusing her strengths on Hellenic Hope and her young children.

Agatha loves climbing, hiking and good food.

Anna-Maria Pagkalou

Anna-Maria was born and grew up in Athens. She is a qualified lawyer and member of the Athens Bar Association. She holds an LL.M in International and European Economic and Commercial Law from the University of Lausanne.

She has served as a lawyer at the World Health Organisation and more recently, at a top private company in Montreux, dealing with issues related to Corporate Compliance and Anti-money Laundering.

Anna-Maria lives in Lausanne and assists the Hellenic Hope team with Legal and Compliance matters.

Manos Papatheofanous (Trustee)

Manos is a member of the London team and Co-chaired of Hellenic Hope’s Board of Trustees until September 2014.

Manos moved to London in 1990 and earned a BEng in Computer Science from Imperial College and a MSc in Finance from London Business School. He has extensive investment experience in financial markets, having worked in global investment banks and asset management firms in the last two decades.

Manos has two children and enjoys spending time with his family. In his spare time he likes reading, staying informed about current affairs and travelling.

Ino Vei (Trustee)

Ino is a member of our Athens team, Trustee Board Secretary and member of our partnership development team.

Ino works for the General Chemical State Laboratory in Greece. She has a D.Phil in Inorganic Chemistry from the University of Oxford and has completed an M.A. in Public Policy & Management at the Athens University of Economics and Business.

When Ino gets some spare time, she loves to sail, scuba dive, dance, read and knit.

Panagiotis Vlachopoulos (Trustee)

Panagiotis is a founding member of Hellenic Hope and a member of our London based marketing communications team. Together with Andreas, he is co-chair of the Board of Trustees. He is also “the force” behind our website.

Panagiotis holds an M.Sc. in Environmental Eng. from Stanford University and has a long career in portfolio management positions in New York and London.

When Panagiotis is not running after his three children, he loves photography, cooking, cycling and working on Hellenic Hope.
